Celebrate Love Your Zoo Week with us this May half term.

Join us from Saturday 24 May – Sunday 1 June 2025 to celebrate everything that makes zoos so important.

Meet our animal keepers, join in with craft activities and see our latest arrivals, including Pasha the Amur tiger and Zaya the snow leopard.

Plus, don’t miss the Wildlife Art Exhibition (running until Monday 26 May), with over 250 pieces of artwork on show.

Meet the keepers

Our expert animal keepers will be on hand to share fascinating facts about the animals they care for. Download our app for all the latest feed and activity times.

Marwell Explorer Passport Trail*

Collect your very own Marwell Explorer Passport and set off around the zoo to discover animals from across the continents, collecting stamps as you go.

Daily, 10.30am – 4pm

Transform into your favourite animal with our animal-themed face painting.

Suitable for ages 3+. Face painting may not be suitable for children with sensitive skin or known skin conditions – please speak to the face painters on the day. Children must be supervised.

Wildlife Art Exhibition

Friday 23rd – Monday 26 May, 10.30am – 4pm

Held in the stunning Grade I listed Marwell Hall, this inspiring exhibition will showcase more than 250 pieces of artwork from over 70 artists, each capturing the beauty and diversity of the animal kingdom.

Browse the Art Market for affordable pieces to take home, and get creative with children’s craft activities.

Enter our Zoo Art Competition

Tap into your inner artist and create your own piece of wildlife artwork for a chance to win a hamper of art goodies.

Whether you bring some pencils and sketch one of our penguins, or take a photo and create a mosaic inspired by one of our big cats, we want to see your masterpieces!

Entries will be open from Friday 24th May – Monday 2nd June 2025.
