Join us in Marwell Zoo’s Science & Learning Centre for a day of discovery, exclusively for home educators.
From craft sessions to a journey of discovery in our lecture theatre, there are activities suitable for children of all ages and stages. We just ask that all children are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Dates: Monday 24 – Friday 28 February 2025
Time: 10.30am – 3pm daily
Tickets: £6.80 per person, with one free adult for every paying child. Price includes a full day in the zoo (10am – 4pm), as well as access to all the activities!

Explore and Learn
10.30am – 3pm daily (drop-in)
Explore a range of self-led engaging activities for families set up across three separate classrooms, facilitating learning across all levels.
Learn about the natural world using skins and skulls. Our knowledgeable and friendly education team will also be on hand to support your learning and answer all your questions!

Journey of Discovery
11am (Mon / Thurs / Fri) & 2pm (daily)
Join us in our lecture theatre for an interactive, educator led, journey of discovery into the rainforest to learn more about the carnivores that call this habitat their home; including one of the world’s most elusive small big cats, the clouded leopard.
Discover why they are so small, yet still boast the largest gape and biggest teeth of any living cat!

By popular request, a higher level session focused on the Science and Geography of rainforests will be run daily from 12pm in the lecture theatre.
